I have always liked Olivia Palermo's style. Her outfits exude style and class. For someone so young, she has definitely stood out as someone to pay attention to for her style.

Now, I am not a slave to celebrity news. I do not care about their relationships or whatever else they do. I can, however, appreciate someone with good taste. Olivia has great taste and therefore is worth watching.

I love this look. It is so easy and relaxed with the skinny jeans and flats but the lace t-shirt dresses it up. The straw tote is also a great bag for summer.

Weekend Getaway - Part 2

When visiting a small coastal town, I think that sailing should be at the top of one's list. Sailing is a great way to spend a relaxing day (unless you are the one doing all of the work). You can pack a lunch, relax on the boat and just enjoy being on the water. My husband and I went sailing on our honeymoon. It was so much fun and I was finally able to kick back and relax. (That is until the wind caught one of the ropes and sent it flying into the back of my head. That woke me up.)

I loved this one-piece floral swimsuit as soon as I saw it. I am really starting to like one-piece swimsuits more and more lately. The floral print keeps this suit right on trend and the cover-up is equally as cute! I kept the jewelry simple. A pair of earrings is all you really need. I feel like bracelets and rings can just get in the way. (Especially if you are wanting a little sun. You don't want a cocktail ring or bangle tan line.)

Spring is in the air! Trees are finally blooming and we are starting to see temperatures in the 70s. Well, we never had a proper winter so we have been seeing unnaturally high temperatures to begin with, but I am not complaining. I am definitely not a winter person so I welcome the change in the weather and blooming trees even if it means my allergies will be going haywire.

Spring is a perfect time (or maybe not for you allergy-prone people) to host a garden party...after you have worked hard planting all of the flowers, that is. You can host a bridal luncheon, baby shower, or just throw a party to celebrate the arrival of spring. If you are like me, you never need an excuse to dress up and get together with friends.

Here are a few things I put together for what I think would make a stellar look for an outdoor affair. If you think wearing heels outside is a bit nuts (I can already hear my mom joking about my obsession with 5 inch heels) then opt for something more turf-friendly like a wedge. It will offer more support and leave your grass without holes.

A floppy hat will offer some much-needed shade for an outdoor affair. The sunglasses give the whole ensemble a slight hippie feel, which I love.
