Cropped & A Giveaway

The twenty year old in me is loving the crop top trend that has 'cropped' up lately. However, the thirty-two year old in me is not going to sport these cute tops, especially after having two babies. There are some of you that can wear this trend so this post is for you.

I think that if your skirt is high enough on your waist, you don't have to worry about showing too much skin. The scalloped edge on this top gives the illusion of a slightly longer top. Keep the jewelry simple so you won't distract from the design on the top and the pretty skirt.

This is definitely a new take on a t-shirt and jeans combo. The colors in this top against the white jeans make this a perfect summer outfit.

Since I don't play sports, this is as sporty as I will ever get. I'm not the type of girl to catch a ball, or run, or sweat. If I have to sit on the sidelines at any sporting event (please don't make me) this is what I would wear.

Are you brave enough to wear crop tops? What is your favorite way to wear them?

I'm part of The Tiny Heart's May group giveaway. Make sure you enter below! And stop by and say hello to Emily at A Devine Life. She is the newest lady in my sidebar and trust me, you will love her style. Have a great day!

  6. Yeah...I just don't know if I can do the cropped top..for all the reasons you expressed. It's so cute on (some) others...BUT I don't mind the cropped top with the super high waisted skirt.

  8. I also think I'm too old to wear a crop top...I do think they're cute though with a high waisted skirt maybe if I was about 10 years younger, ha. Thanks for posting the giveaway!!

  9. I love crop tops! I'm young and thin, so I can still get away with wearing them ;) I think if you pair them with the right bottoms, they can look cute and classy!

  10. I'm afraid of cropped tops, but I like the recommendation of wearing one with a high waist to hide more skin.

  11. I've seen so many people rocking the cropped trend (mostly with high-waisted skirts) and I love it. I'm not sure it's something that I'd feel totally comfortable in body-concious wise, but I'd love to try it out!

  13. I know this sounds silly but I'm really excited about the Harper Necklace. Blue and pink are two of my favorite colors and I can see myself wearing it with just about any of these crop tops and a high wasted black or white skirt! Ah, summer -- an excuse to explode with color!

  14. Great giveaway. Not a fan of cropped tops on me because after having a baby I don't think it's all that appropriate, even though I am proud of my flat stomach but i do like how you put the outfits together. My link up is back on and it starts again this thursday. Stop by my blog tomorrow for details and please enter my giveaway from stella & dot.

  17. The cropped tops are cute, but only a lucky few can pull them off. I don't mind a slight crop if I have a layer underneath but that's about it!

    Love your pics, though. :)

  22. I love the way crop tops look when it is with a skirt and there is just a tiny bit of skin showing. I would have done it in my younger years, but I am 26 and feel that me and crop tops will never happen...

  23. Love the idea of crop but I think I would have to do plank poses all day to feel confident enough to pull them off! :)
