Wow. It's been almost two months since my last post! Yikes. I've had an extremely busy summer. I've spent the past two months frantically writing a syllabus for EIGHT dance classes for this upcoming year. I've talked with a mentor about creating and selling a jazz syllabus so this past summer I've dedicated my time to doing just that. So if you are in the market for a jazz syllabus, just let me know! :)

My hubby and I had a date night this past weekend to celebrate my upcoming birthday. This is really the first time that I have worn a cute outfit in a long time. I've been living in workout clothes and my hair in a bun lately. It's also the first time that I've been able to fit in this skirt in a long time. Yay for being back in my clothes again!

On The Go

It seems like I've been constantly on the go the past few weeks. Not that I mind; I like staying busy. On Saturday we went to Mass as usual and then my MIL took the two older boys for the rest of the weekend. I got to go by myself to Target that night. It was bliss, let me tell you. I got to linger in the cosmetics section longer than I normally would with my two little wild boys hanging out of the cart. (Last time I went through one of the aisles in the make-up section with my two year old, I ended up with some foundation in my cart that I had not picked up).

So, you might remember this post from last week where I styled the above dress in an outfit set. Well, the 'dress' came in and it really works more as a top. It's definitely too short to be a dress so I decided to wear it with my leather skirt instead.

Sweet Summer Dresses

I don't think there is anything easier than throwing on a dress and flats in the summer. It's fast and easy and thanks to all of the fun prints available now, you can guarantee that you will look cute. I've styled a few dresses below and now I'm itching to buy them!


I'm loving the light blue and gold accents in the outfit above. This would be cute for a luncheon or for shopping with friends.

I love animal prints and the oversize purple and black print of this dress is perfect. I decided to throw in a clutch with another color for a little interest. Not everything has to be perfectly matched.

Mother's Day Maxi

I decided to dress up the day before Mother's Day. We typically go to church on Saturday evenings anyway, so it made sense. I'm actually wearing a maternity dress that I bought to wear to a wedding. I bought it way too small so it's actually just a regular dress now. There was no way my pregnant self would have fit in this dress!




I am also wearing one of my favorite necklaces from my online store, How Gorgeous. This piece is so much fun and will go with so many different outfits.

What I'm Wearing... Hopefully

I have been looking online for the past few weeks for something to wear for recital/Mark's baptism. I haven't had much luck until I visited Sheinside. I found two dresses: a casual option that I can wear on weekends and possibly for dress rehearsal, and a 'dressier' version that will work for the performance night and maybe my son's baptism. I wasn't able to get anything with a zipper because that means it has to fit perfectly. My body is still changing and I've made mistakes in the past, buying clothes that fit at the time, only to lose more weight and not be able to wear them anymore. As long as these dresses fit when they come in, I should be good to go!

I realize that I didn't have any posts last week. It seems like things are so busy around here. With my three little boys, dance, pilates, and now my top secret project I've been working on, I just couldn't get to the blog last week. I know you are all dying to know (ha ha) what the top secret project is. I'll announce it as soon as everything is completed - which should be soon!

I wore this to church yesterday. I'm still unable to fit into anything (boo) so I'm trying to just swap out tops while I wear the same old jeans. I am pretty excited about being able to wear heels again and my new lipstick! This shade (morange) from MAC is one of my favorite new shades to wear. It has a matte finish, just so you know. Sometimes I like a matte finish but you can always just add a little gloss on top to give it a shiny look if that's what you prefer.

Well, I suppose I've reached an all new low. I wore my sweat-shorts to church on Saturday. These are the shorts that I wear to teach dance in, for crying out loud. So I guess this is a lazy girl's outfit for sure. I figured if I piled on the jewelry, wore some make-up, and put on my heels then I wouldn't look too much like a bum...




And I don't think it will come as a huge shock that I'm wearing all black. Black is my favorite color, after all!

Accessorize With Color

Lately I've been loving nude and bright pink shades for nails and lips. They couldn't be more different but I think that they are both great colors for spring and I'm looking to add a few lipsticks and polishes to my collection.


What better way to wear these two colors than with black? Black is, without a doubt, my favorite color. Make a cute, summery look (above) standout with bright pink polish and nails.

It's funny how before I got pregnant I thought I had nothing to wear. I thought I had exhausted every item in my closet and could not come up with any new combinations. After many months of not wearing my regular clothes, suddenly I can come up with new combos. Or maybe I've already worn this and just can't remember. That's a very strong possibility!





Can I just say that I missed blogging? It was nice to have a break, even if it was a long one, but I'm glad to be back. 

I started teaching pilates again and that was nice. I'll start dance back next week and I can't wait. I've missed my girls and I've missed dancing as well. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
