Welcome to my first ever weekly link-up! Looking back over some of my old posts, I realized that I tend to keep it pretty casual on Wednesdays. So I thought: why not start a weekly link-up?
I originally wanted to wear heels (my shoe of choice) but heels didn't really make this outfit seem too casual. But I guess compared to a cocktail dress it would be pretty casual, heels or not.
I actually wanted to wear black pants but somehow the whole look was just off. Do you ever mentally put an outfit together and it looks fabulous but then once you put it on it looks terrible? That's what happened here. My boys were already waiting in the car (with my hubby!) so I felt frantic trying to decide what to wear. Jeans are always a safe choice.
You want to know the best way to make your legs look long and slim? It isn't by wearing flats with skinny jeans! Sheesh, I don't have the longest legs in the world but they aren't as stumpy as they appear in these pictures. I think that is why I always opt for heels.
Linking up with Because Shanna Said So for Random Wednesdays.
Make sure you are a follower of this blog before linking up. It would just be the nice thing to do :) And if you would kindly link back to my blog in your post I would be one happy girl. Have a great day!

I put together outfits in my head and then end up changing them all the time too. Good choice on going with the flats, btw:)ReplyDelete
Stunning and so chic!!! Great pictures as well!ReplyDelete

Best wishes, Alexandra
Happens to me as well, when I wake up in the morning or go to bed at night I get some amazing outfit ideas and combinations, then when I try it on it just looks off.ReplyDelete

Love the houndstooth. And the jeans are perfect. I definitely go through the same thing where I plan out an outfit and then put it on and it just doesn't work. Love the idea of this linkup. Love the mix of houndstooth with the blazer! So cute! And I wear the flats and skinny jeans look all the time... because I'm horrendous at walking in heels. C'est la vie.ReplyDelete
Thanks for doing the link up!
Hi there, thanks so much for doing the link up! This is my first time participating in one so I appreciate the opportunity!!ReplyDelete
By the way, your legs totally do not look stumpy at all. Jeans and flats are the cutest combination, and you paired it very nicely. LOVE the pattern on your shirt too.
Thanks so much for sharing and have a great day!
Fun linkup! Loving those jeans girl!ReplyDelete
Love this! Gorgeous!!ReplyDelete
love the outfit! i'm a sucker for the deconstructed denim with dressy tops! i do the same thing where something looks good in my head, and then i look in the mirror, or at a pic and think "ugh! that looks awful!" he hee! i really like the flats on you, but i always feel the same about my legs when i put them on, maybe we're just too critical with ourselves?ReplyDelete
thanks for sharing!
Amy I always feel the same way. I always thinking look stubby so I wear heels to sleep! You really look great! Must be one of those things we just imagine in our head, but you look great. You really nailed it!!ReplyDelete
Love this and totally NEED that black and white clutch! SO cute! And I totally feel ya on the stumpy legs thing...ha!! Heels all the way!ReplyDelete
