I'd like to apologize once more for the glaringly bright white legs. Wow. It seems like every year spring suddenly arrives and my prepping (exercise/tanning) seems to fall by the wayside. I could at least use a little self-tanner. I've never tried a spray tan before. Any of you have luck with that?
I mentioned before in this post that I was starting to get a little braver where mixed prints were concerned. I know I might be a little slow to jump on a trend but that's okay. I'm not trying to win any trend awards. I say just try things when they feel comfortable and don't feel like you have to jump on a trend right away (or even at all).
Here is my post from one year ago today:

I think these might be two of my favorite looks that I have put together. I want to recreate these looks since spring is finally here!
Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!
I love that you mixed those two prints! I think it's a fabulous combination. And your hair looks so cute :)

Don't worry girl I am super white too! You should try the Sally Hansen Leg Tanning Spray, I buy mine at Target! It is my favorite for a nice even tan on my legs and doesn't make you so tan that it looks orange or unnatural. Hope that helps! Btw, love the mixed patterns!

ReplyDeleteGreat style starts with being comfortable in what you're wearing. I'm just starting the pattern mixing too! It's hard for me because I don't actually own a lot of prints! Great look! Love how you used your shoes and clutch as little pops of flair.

You are so right about trends, Amy. Sometime we immediately know "I love that", sometimes it takes a while and sometimes we skip them... that's the beauty once we know and are comfortable with our personal style.
ReplyDeleteYou stay with the black and white colours and add some lovely accessories - great!

Well I think you're totally rocking the mixed patterns look, so great job there! Also, you should see my legs. Superrrr white!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright clutch! And DON'T be ashamed of being pale, since I am from Texas originally I was always used to being tan or at least a certain shade of brown during the winter. However, since moving to New York City I have been forced to start appreciating the beauty of fare skin.
ReplyDeleteAnd the red lipstick really pops! Very chic and au natural if you ask me.

I think we should all embrace the pale. I did try spray tanning once and it did not go well. Jergens natural tan lotion is my favorite - you should try it! Love the pattern mixing!
ReplyDeleteI love, love the "feeling girly" look - its SO perfect for spring!! And yes to spray tans - or Jergens lotion!
ReplyDeleteI love this look! Your print mixing is perfect. I love the look of two black and white prints together!
ReplyDeleteLove the mix of patterns!
