Chambray - Three Ways

I stumbled upon these cute chambray pants the other day while online shopping. Typically, when I buy something, I try to think of numerous ways to wear it. It seems silly to buy something that can only be worn one way. Here are a few of my favorite outfit combinations with these pants:

I don't typically wear a lot of flats but I love the print of the ones pictured above. They are much more fun than just a basic sandal and help keep the outfit from looking frumpy. When putting together a casual outfit, I think it is important to think about each piece going into the outfit. Choose a flat shoe with a print, pick a relaxed bag in a bright color, and a top with pretty cut-outs. This casual outfit beats a regular jeans and t-shirt combo any day.

Since I don't wear a lot of flats, this is a casual outfit that is more my style. The slouchy top and baggy pants are dressed up slightly with studded heels, a statement necklace, and funky sunglasses.

What can I say about this outfit except that it is right up my alley? Take a simple tank and dress it up with a statement coat, shiny bag, and edgy necklace. It's easy, effortless, and you will look like a million bucks. I need this outfit ASAP.

Which look above is your favorite?

Stripes Twice

Sheinside top c/o (here), A.N.A jeans via JCP (here), ShoeDazzle heels (on sale here), bag via Ross,
Charming Charlie necklace and cuff

My hubby and I finally got a date night this weekend. We went to see The Great Gatsby and later, to dinner. I remember telling my sister that I was going to see the movie and I told her that I had never read the book and had no idea what it was about. She said, "Yes, you did Amy! I have your book from high school with your notes in it!" Oh. Oops.

It was a great movie and a great date night. We even went the next day and saw Star Trek (another great movie). Two movies in two days? Things are getting crazy around here!

Stop on by my buddy's blog Glossy Blonde for a fun giveaway!

Have a great day!

Texturized

A.N.A blouse via JCP (here), Old Navy vest (similar), Zara skirt and clutch (similar), New York Transit heels, F21 spiked bracelet, necklace, and earrings

I can't believe the multiple ways that I have worn this skirt. When I first bought it, the only option I could think to go with it was a white blouse. You can see the numerous ways I have worn it here, here, and here. Every time I think I have exhausted my resources to create outfits around this skirt, I come up with another one. We will see if this is the last time!

I also decided to mix a few textures together in this outfit. A suede skirt, sequin clutch, and snakeskin shoes mixed together add a little visual interest to this look. Not only is pattern mixing a clever way to make your outfit exciting, texture mixing is a subtle way to give your look a little extra impact.

Have a great weekend!
