Lace for Spring

I think that this week has been the coldest week we have had this winter. I am not a huge fan of temperatures in the 30s! Since it has been so cold, of course it has me thinking about spring and realizing that it will be here before we know it!

I was looking through my favorite designer's (ADAM) spring collection and fell in love with a lace dress. Check out his entire spring collection! He has some great, classic pieces.

I spent the morning perusing the internet and found a couple of lace dresses that I think will be great for spring. These dresses make me think of walking barefoot through a field of flowers with the sun shining down on my shoulders. Although that seems like an idyllic, picturesque scene, I would never do that. What if I stepped on a bug?

Still loving the military vibe!

Some of you may be tired of the military trend as it has been around for quite a bit. I, however, still love it!

I was looking for some boots (for a friend...I promise!) when I stumbled across these fun booties. Maybe it is something about the hardware on the shoe that reminds me of buttons on a a military uniform. Or maybe it is the clean lines of the straps across the shoe...either way, I like it!

I also found another Etsy shop (that makes two this week...) with a cool purse that also has the military 'vibe.' Aviva Schwarz (Israel) made this great canvas tote along with several other items that she has in her Etsy shop.

Steampunk Junq

If you haven't checked out Etsy.com, you should right away. It is a website for artists to sell handmade items, from jewelry to home accessories. You can also find vintage items on Etsy as well.

I love to look through the jewelry from time to time. There is some amazing talent out there!

Check out these rings and necklaces by Steampunk Junq. The artist has taken apart old watches and fashioned jewelry out of them. She has some very cool pieces that you won't find at your local boutique. I don't know about you but I like the idea of one-of-a-kind jewelry.
